A consultation with a Lactation Consultant can make all the difference in the world to your breastfeeding experience.
In-home consultations by Tina Brenner, RN, IBCLC can be scheduled by contacting Tina at
517-339-3038. The fee for this service ranges from $125-$150 and visits are provided in the Lansing area and surrounding
local cities in Ingham, Eaton, Clinton and Shiawassee counties. There are additional fees for supplies used during a
consultation, as well as for twins.
A consult lasts approximately 2 hours and includes pre and post feeding weights, observation of feedings, physical
assessment of the baby's mouth, and a great deal of education and support. A thorough care plan will be provided
at the end of the consult, along with access to Tina by phone for follow up questions. There will be added charges for any
additional home visits requested.
It is suggested that you call your insurance company
prior to scheduling a home visit to see if they will provide any coverage for either services or equipment. Every case is
different, and every insurance company has different policies on coverage of breastfeeding services.
